I would like to know what is the dimension between the two top damper bolts, where rear strut brace is usually fitted. But I'm not interested from the measure from some car, I would like to know the dimension Ford has given it should be. I might also try to contact some bodyshop if they have that dimension.

Maybe my reply was confusing but I meant that I would like to know the value Ford has given to the Escort body, not a dimension measured from a car since it can be much different (bent body etc).

But I got a reply from Finnish autorobot company, so I hopefully soon get the exact dimension they have.

Thanks anyway.

I got the pictures/body dimensions from the bodyshop, but just my luck that those pictures don't have any dimensions from the rear turrets/suspension tops Wierd since there are exact dimensions to the front turrets etc.

Whatever ford states it at wont be exactly what it is anyway due to manufacuring tolerances. You'd be better off getting alot of people to measure their cars and analyzing the data yourself.

It could be that the results are not what people want to hear Since most of the cossie bodies are almost for sure bent. But if someone is interested, take a measure from the rear turret tops (from bolt center to bolt center tex) and post it here

can do

whats it supposed to be?

surely the sapphire and escort and 3 door cant all be identical?

you want the measurement, from the top of one strut to the other (rear)

the coilovers are longer then normal top struts so you may have to do some pythagoras to compensate

That's the thing, since I have no idea what it is supposed to be. I would like to know the dimension inside the boot, from left suspension top bolt to the right suspension top bolt.
