Default FAO all Staffie/Dog Owners (pics now in gallery link in here

On Sunday 9th April 2006, there is a big get together of all staffie owners as part of the rescue centre for a big walk (see pics below).

There is normally about 150 staffies on this yearly event and if anyone else is interested in this the details are below

Also you dont have to own a Staffie to come along as its a brilliant day and a good laugh

The Annual Windermere Sponsored Walk

Approx. 7 miles, assemble at the Newby Bridge Hotel (A590) near Lake Windermere at 11.00am for our hugely popular yearly walk to HIgh Dam.

All Friends and supporters welcome for this spectacular day out with your dog. Stout walking shoes must be worn (Please contact Rescue if you need a Sponsor Form). For further information on all walks including directions please contact Anna on: 07747 831 293
or Email: annamurray.nsbtr@btinternet.com

Basically you come off the M6 J36 and just follow the A590 all the way to newby bridge hotel which is on the main road and its just after the main roundabout that takes you into the lakes (lakes road is A592) all you do is go straight on at the roundabout (A590) and if you blink you would miss the hotel as its on the left.

Best breed going IMO, so gentle, trouble is, people hear about one biting someone, or something on the news, and then they tar them all with the same brush, its wrong

You are right about all the bad press they all get because of some muppets that own them but as said they are very loving dogs

oh, i love staffies so much, after a split with my ex, circumstances meant he got to keep them. Was like leaving kids behind
If the walk was closer to Essex, i would be there with bells on!

Good luck with it
