Emerald M3DK ECU
Anyone on here actually using or have used the current Emerald m3d ECU and software? How do you get on with it?
I'm helping out a friend with a saloon race car using an ex-MGF cup K-series engine on throttle bodies. Presently using a Rover MEMS ecu which is pretty impossible to do much with - whilst it runs ok at full throttle which is kinda ok for a race application, it doesn't drive nicely at all, probably due to retaining the MAP sensor, with the feed T'd together from all 4 inlet ports.
The later Emerald m3d is plug'n'play compatible with K-series engine harness and sensors, so makes a lot of sense to go that route.
Any experience input welcome!

I fitted Jims to his 24v cossie engine and its a really good piece of kit.
Easy to setup and use mapping it is a diff matter left to experts me thinks but emerald will have a base map that im sure would suit you

if its a rover then dave will have a map thats 99% perfect out of the box... lol he does shedloads of em.
i'm VERY happy/impresed with mine. it may be a cheap ECU, but it certainly isnt a shoddy product!!!! even better if its plug n play with your standard loom! its got all the features you're ever going to need on a NASP car

Yep & very happy
Car is very driveable in all situations even though its cammed up. But then dave does the mapping on it. 8 hours solid last time was £200, with another free software upgrade

cheers Guys! Especially interesting to know that Tony and Sean are using them, K-series users with cams..
I'm not sure what the cams are in this engine, but there's enough lift to get my finger between the exhaust valve and the seat when they are open
and the exhaust/inlet pairs only just clear each other at max overlap... so I'm sure that's going a long way to making a monkey of the MEMS ecu with it's MAP sensor
