Default Mercedes Sprinter Intercoolers

Do any of you guy's use them (sure I've read about people with FRST's and ERST's using them)

I'm thinking about one but not sure how good they are. They have plastic end tanks, which isn't ideal. I'm planning on running 18-20psi through one and should be making 300bhp.

I know some VW lad's use them.

I wasn't sure what a Saab 2000 was. I googled it and i'm not supprised they can run 20psi.

I don't really want a Saab 900 one, I know someone that split one running 17psi.

Take a look at the intercooler's fitted to Transit Connect's (these ones : http://www.belrent.be/transit_connect03.jpg )

I'll try to remember to get a pic in daylight 2morrow for you, but they have a decent sized single pass cooler fitted to them, and IIRC it's all metal And knowing Ford it can't be too expensive, even brand new! Specially since quite a few people on here work at Ford's

Renault Master Van coolers are a decent size also & can cope with the boost your planning....

I ran a Ford Iveco Truck one on my 21Turbo for a bit - comes as standard with alloy end tanks too & 55mm inlet/outlets - worked a treat for me too @ 21psi!!!

I like the look of those Iveco truck ones.

Was yours like this? Can you tell me what model it came off? I'm going to get on the blower to some commercial scrap yards and see if I can come up with one.

Also, do you know how much they are from Ford?

If anyone knows any scrapyards I could try, it'd be appreciated if you could give me a number to try.

It wasnt that one I actually used but funnily enough I had one of them too - it was fecking HUGE...tooo wide at the widest point tho to fit in!! I paid £30 for it & sold it on ebay for £102 a few months later - the guy was gonna use it on his volvo!!

This one was the one that I used...

Still got it in the garage - its probably got a part number on it somewhere if you want it!???

That smaller one doesn't look like it'll fit, as I don't have the space for the pipework to clear the rad. I got some measurements for the bigger one and it'll fit perfect, as the end tanks will wrap around my rad. Thats what i'll try and get. I don't even know what model it came off, so i'm going to struggle.

Do you know what it was off when you originally got it? Where did you find one for £30?

My current IC is a Volvo 940 but i've split it, I can get another for £30, but i'm thinking i'll kill another one too.

I heard the Sprinter one's are only rated to 17psi before they blow the end tanks off.

Cheers for the pictures.

I'm after an Iveco one, but I've not worked out what its off. A lorry, a van, etc.

I know it's designed for 2bar pressure and can support 350bhp going by what I read on another website.

Has that one got plastic end tanks? I've got stitched up by someone who sold me an Iveco IC that looks similer size to yours but with plastic end tanks. I'd showed him the picture of what I wanted and he sold me something half the size.

I want to kow if its worth the hassle of trying to fit it or am i likely to blow it to bits the 1st time I come on boost?

It was off a Turbo Daily 2.8
