Is the gasket for between the exhaust manifold and the turbo on a S2 a common part, ie is it the same on other Garret turbo's and would Ford or P&C keep them in stock ?

Also should there be a gasket between the turbo and exhaust elbow ? I cant remember if there is or not


Need to get the manifold-turbo gasket tomorrow or else I cant go to Crail on Sunday tried rubbing the surfaces down as flat as possible but theres a fair amount of pitting and its still blowing badly

I just bought a manifold-turbo gasket from burtons for about 9 quid. And as far as i know theres no gasket between the turbo and exhaust elbow.

Dunno if thats any help

you can get the gasket from burtons as xr-rs says,they dont have them as standard they are only for if the surfaces are pitted.

ive got one lying around but i wont be at my garage till tomorrow night so i couldnt get it to you in time for crial

I didnt use mine in the end but i doubt the post would get it to you in time.

When i placed my order with burtons he asked 'how quick do you want it ?' so they must do a super fast delivery service or something.

if you had posted this afternoon i could have got it away to you special delivery and it would have got there sat morning,i actually had it in my hand tonight when i was sorting out all my spare bits.i think its made from thin stainless by the look of it

it aint thick like,less than .5mm id guess.

if i do go to crail il come say hi but i think the engine is going in project bonus this weekend
