little pykey fuckers!
Stole the numberplates off the BMW - parked at a train station carpark
just plain annoying, the little c*nts!
I wonder if they are going to clone the car
Can anyone on here do me a set of std plates quick sharp???

Get it reported to the police.
At least that way when you end up with 10 speeding fines come through the post, cos the pikey twats have stuck them on their car, you have it logged at the police station as proof that it wasn't you.
Happened to me earlier this year.

If someone stole my plates, I would report it to the cops and buy a cheap personalised number. At least then, if one of our eagle-eyed law-enforcers ever checked the copycat number, it would come up as invalid and he might just stop them. (Obviously assuming they are breaking the speed limit at the time!)

We had a spate of number plate thefts round our way. Turned out that they put them on their cars to do a runner from the Petrol Station.
Unfortunately, it means you get your collar felt for theft, so definately report it to the Police.

Dave go to the police the missus had it happen to her motor last year and the car was used in a job she was cool though cos she had told the old bill

and the reason for this number plate law was to stop people buying plates and cloning cars,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, cause they assumed that a person who nicks a car/does a few ram raids would be stopped in his tracks cause he has to use his own car
or was it so when you get done for speeding ect on a camera then they got proof who purchased the plates and you cant claim the car is cloned

If you're innocent in it all then just stright up tell 'em the plates got nicked
And what difference does the law make about taking your license and v5 to get plates when you can just order them online anyway.
