Occasionally my picture freezes for a few seconds, normally at an important time

There's someone in the control room monitoring you and pressing a button to stop your signal at vital times. You'll have to ring Sky and see if they can get him to stop.

Could be weak signal - has the dish moved a bit perhaps? How long has it been doing it?

Actually, being serious, I know it's not a Sky box but my freeview will do it now and then when a light is switched on or off, or a plug is unplugged etc. It just interrupts the signal. Might be something like that

It is quite normal for any Sky box to freeze ocassionally, this is due to the cheap crap components they make them with.
Only need to worry when the picture freezes and you can't unfreeze it without rebooting it. Then it is either the box or LND on the way out.
