ntl prob

anyone have any advice on what to do with this. basically my screen went black, stayed that way for a while so i switched the box off at the wall and then waited 30secs and switched it back on, it is now on the sorry to interupt your viewing we are updating you service screen, and has been for 10mins. any ideas what to do?

ummm if it says they updating your service........just wait longer lol wither that or phone them

Keep on unplugging and reconnecting the box. It should boot up in less than a minute.
Mine used to take 5 or 6 attempts - untill NT-hell changed the box.

bunch of arses IMO. My New Year Resolution was to ditch NTL and get BT/Sky?Broadband elsewhere. Still not done it yet though. But they really are awful !
