Well if you leave an IPOD and a TOM TOM in a car.. unattended, in Manchester

then, yes. Quite frankly you are a bit of a c*nt really when you think about it. Non?

car insurance not interested, say im only covered for Ł100 worth of personal belongings lol Doesnt quite cover it.

Shitty big global windscreen companies were crap as well and couldnt help, but a very friendly manchester bloke came out and sorted it for me.

Would have been awful if he hadnt cause i would have had to drive to south west wales without a window and that would have been cold

braket wasnt but cig charger was. always usually very careful, but was in a rush when i got to manc, these things happen i suppose.

Bird in the hotel fucked me off. Went and told them and she asked where had i parked and i told her in the car park they recommend. she then said that it wasnt secure parking and if i had wanted secure parking i should have said. Silly cow.

have been kicking myself for days now, but not sure it was worth calling me a c*nt, but ive got broad shoulders so not that bothered.

Just happy they didnt damage the car of fuck the seats.

werent interested in my golf clubs thankfully, they were in the boot.

It's been said before that even if the bracket for the tom tom is not on display, if they can make out the 'screen mark' it leaves they are likely to try thier luck in case it's in the glove box etc...looks like this is what happend, feel for you mate

I think the worse thing is knowing that someone has been in my car.

Know what you mean there. When my sierra was broken into they went right through it and it felt weird driving it for a few weeks. As Dave says, hardly the knicker drawer but probably more anger than anything else.

Just spoken to household insurance company and they will cover ipod and sunglasses, but wont cover sat nav as motor insurance should cover it. However elephant wont.

Really pisses me off, i have been paying for car insurance for many years and never claimed. Finally need to claim and they wont help me

Not what you want to hear, but very few insurance companies will pay out for this sort of thing, personal effects is usually 100-150 quid max and sometimes has a Ł100.00 excess -it's basically to stop you claiming at all-it WILL all be in your policy booklet mate

They dont look at it from 'havent claimed' point of view-they look at it purely from a black and white 'is it covered' point of view.

Sorry about the news though
