in the top of the downpipe, just after the turbo for the lambda.

for the egt, you have a choice of pre or post turbo. i have one in each port of my exhaust manifold

Nick,

Which thermocouples did you use and where from. I am about to istall a set up like you have but haven't looked at where to get the thermocouples from yet.

Thanks,

Doug.

i got them from the german equivalent of maplin, www.conrad.de. i got inconel ones capable of withstanding 1200 deg. C, and then stainless steel compression fittings from RS Components.

i also got a 4 channel electonic handheld TC reader with rs232 output for datalogging from Conrad. but this one http://www.mglavionics.co.za/singles.html#TC-1 is very good for a permanent install.

i would mount the lambda down the bottom of the downpipe,,, here it will not get too hot and responce time will be next to zero

before anyone says,, i know i need new manifold studs/nuts

i turned up a boss wich screwed into the standard lambda hole, then a 3mm thermocouple gland could screw into my boss
