That doesn't include water or sewerage, you pay for both those seperately as that's privately supplied.

Mine was about £131 a month last year, will probably be about £150 a month this year (increase is way above inflation). Both me and my bro co-own the house and are employed so we get shafted!

Is that your new year quote or last year's?

I'm in a band D house and it was about £1310 last year. I heard that the increase was going to be over 10% for this coming tax year so would be about £1460 or thereabouts.

Spuds!

I think you'll get a discount as the only working person in the house, or you could just disappear and duck your voting rights - I think it could end up being really expensive for just you and your housemates probably won't want to pay a share as they don't have to (if living in a house with other students). It sucks as I was in a similar position a few years ago and moved in with someone else working.

Its all a fucking rip off

The problem is tho , in this country we are all moaning gits ( me inc ) but we do nothing other than moan at each other ,,if we actually took a stand against shit like this ( as they do in america ) then we wouldnt get ripped off like this ,
Look at petrol prices etc etc in aussy and america ,,why is it so cheap ??/simply because they dont stand for the tax we do ,, they do summat about it

It just needs someone to kick it off and we all join in

WHO IS GONNA KICK IT OFF THEN ???

Band B for me, £75/month with single-occupancy discount!

Which reminds me, I need to get in touch with the council, to get them to spend some of that money on fixing the bloody great pot-holes in my road!
