was the car already stage 3?

i'm thinking about getting this to improve my fuel economy as in london you spend alot of time in traffic and crusing at low revs

how much effort to fit?

i was running my new engine in on a stage 1 chip, so i changed over to stage 3, 7.2:1 gas flowed head etc.......... my car is a k plate saffy, so it was already wired with a lambda etc, so just mod the board a bit so the taller chip fits inside the ecu cover....... but reading the instructions its not hard to convert a non lambda car, just need to weld a boss into the exhaust and wire it in to the ecu,

So far its much better on fuel than the stage 1 at 9 psi !!!! for running in purposes. i do alot of traffic in exeter and this is deffo the way to go.

If you crive within the paramiters of the closed loop,as the instructions tell you it is great on fuel.

Let me know if you want more info mate.

well mines currently stage 3, just though this may improve fuel economy, have only had the car for a month now, so havent even used a tank as its a weekend car. will use a few tanks and get an idea for the economy, then possibly covert over to closed loop and see the difference.

mines a 1992 with lambda etc already installed.

dont wait then just do it, chip change all done! you would need to remove the pectel board, and put the original back in though, as the closed loop chip doesnt use it.

on a run they can 38+ mpg

i think it still uses the original board

satying that i dont know what a 'pectel board' is

it has a power engineering stage 3 chip in it

if i need the original board and i dont have it i am a bit stuffed really.

can you do me a favour, next time you fill up, reset the trip counter, and run it down, then pm me with how many miles you got from the full tank

would make for an interesting comparison

out of interest, how big is the tank on the saff, mine was low the other day so i filled it to the brim and got 46 quids worth in, can i assume its a 50 litre tank?
