looks like a lot of people bidding who can't afford it. The guy who is winning recently didn't pay for a cheap old mobile he won.

I'm glad somebody asked .

The original GT40 was called this because it stood 40" high. The new car is some 4" taller than this. Also Ford no longer own the rights to the GT40 name, so had to call it the Ford GT (you can even see it is listed as this in the ebay link you posted ). This why it is not a Ford GT40, which is the original 60's version ONLY .

And the big headed racing drivers couldnt fit their heads in so a little bubble was devised in the roof for the racers on the origional one.

(origional gt40)
