Anyone got the orange focus st paint code? Ford are being fussy fuckers about it!

 

i dont know the codes but its a fukka to paint, its a 5 layer job

primer
orange paint
laquer
metal flake coat
and laquer

no help at all really but just thought id say

 

Does anyone know the actual NAME if so I can get you the colour code

These codes are probably pre production codes, the actual code on the cars will be shorter

Its no more difficult to apply than any other "2 coat pearl"

And Nobody would paint a "metal flake coat" over clear coat.

It has a special tinter though and some people may not have it in yet.

 

Oh and its a poor covering paint

 

Any ideas on a price and minimum mix quantity?
Local spray shop is trying to find it for me just now.
Just want to make sure they don't try to rip me off because it's "a special paint"

Its not a special paint as such but requires a new/special tinter which may not be stocked yet

Price can vary between manufacturer,

but Ł20-Ł60 P/litre retail at a guess plus thinners and clear etc

 

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A SET OF WHEEL CENTER CAPS FOR MY NEW FOCUS ST I WANT A SET THAT HAVE THE ST LOGO ON THEM IN RED INSTEAD OF THE FORD BADGE.

2 pack or the new water based stuff?

You will be able to get the basecoat in Poly or waterbased there isnt really such a thing as 2k basecoat, though ICI do make some, it doesnt require a hardner so isnt really 2k ??
