1st things 1st, BIN NEROVISION EXPRESS!!!!

i tried it, its SHITE and unstable

have you tried burning the DVD video_ts files directly onto a DVD? do they play then?

i peronally use winavi (6.3, DONT use v7!) to convert my divx to DVD, ive tried a lot of programs and this one beats them all hands down for ease of use and speed

I have no idea what to use jim.

I bought a dvd writer because ive got some downloaded torrents of tv programmes id missed and wanted to put them on dvd to watch downstairs on my tv....

in doing so ive taken out my cd rw drive and my old nero doesnt work so I cant make audio CDs and I cant fkin seem to get a decent dvd to come off....

so any step by step guides or what software I should use would be very very gratefully received!

The first time I tried to convert a file to DVD format and burn it to a DVD it worked a treat, and has done ever since....

All I use to convert files in WinAVI to convert to DVD TS files, then I use Nero Burning Rom to burn to DVD (make DVD video disc) and voila! Works fine!

Ditto James, never had any issues with Nero suite (incl. express)

Melv, what discs are you using and are you sure the files you are burning are DVD compliant? Try playing the file with a software DVD player (PowerDVD etc.) on the PC first.

http://www.videohelp.com/ lots of useful info on there.

no idea on the files being dvd compliant. thats what im struggling with.

they do play in power dvd though when i have burnt it, just not in the dvd player downstairs (although the menu and other simpler vids work in it even when on same disc) so id say more than likely wrong format files.
