It looks very shiny which is good, the rest of it I have no idea what it does

Whats the silver covering stuff over the pipe that normally go's to the airbox/filter thingy?

Its a phone camera fooking great with the auto focus!

The engine was built for 600bhp I did alot of research...listening mainly to Julian Godfrey who rated the std conrods to 600bhp and a std crank to 800bhp (these are what he has seen in rally cross engines so i guess knows his stuff!)..I used a good set of std con rods balanced them...a brand new std crank...genuine cossie racing forged pistons using genuine std bearings which i was told were the best,Grp A bolts...using the EEC4 escos 200 block with oil jets..again the best block there is with liners to .25 to strengthen the walls up,plus WRC long studded...to keep the head down with over 2bar boost!...Then using the BEST head gasket you can,the WRC 4 layer job....lairy cams with double valve springs.

As you all know Rod had a block failure at over 900bhp....and i consider he wasnt using the best ie the EEC4 one (maybe he was..not sure LOL)...so block no probs...crank no probs...rods...on the limit at 600bhp was going to get them shot peened this rates them to 700bhp,but decided to leave std as its a road car so no real abuse..BUT as the aim is max 550bhp no probs at all.

Sounds a nice spec Phil didnt know about the crank upto 800 I thought it was around 700 agreed that Julian is THE DON his engines are mental.

Can see your point of view all diy as going to a tuner and handing them a check seems a bit boring.

Good luck with rest of the swap sound like its going to be pretty plain sailing from now on.
Btw Phil was this your old saph went into your photbucket album looking for pics of the F-car and found that who owns it now?
Looks mega.

Phil just a question you've used a 2wd Inlet? and not an EECIV one?

I know your running a spacer plate, but i thought the elbow was restictive way before the air volume in the plenum cover was?

Hi Ryan...thats a 4x4 cover with a 10mm spacer...the standard 4x4 inlet setup was good for 460bhp...add the spacer and over 500 easy...the reason being is the space between the trumpets and the cover...10mm making it optimum, the elbow and in is bigger than the 2wd aswell...a 2wd with a 10mm spacer setup recently made 490bhp!..So over 500 wont be a problem

In any case i have a EEC4 cover in the wings if this seup up fails...but TBH it wont as its been tested already!

JHW.....some bloke is making it into a track car....didnt look like that when i sold it...That was the car to get me into all this shit and the Bosch..so big up

Don't be silly . He can pretend it's any bhp he likes to think it is if he doesn't do that .
