Default 4x4 cos whistle (like footie ref's whistle) - sorted

My car whistles like a ref's whistle when on boost and moving.

Thinking it was inlet gaskets, I changed both the inlet manifold and plenum gaskets, but the noise is still there...

Doesn't sound like a belt, and only happens when the car is moving, loading the boost on throttle + left foot braking in third doesn't make the noise.

Any ideas Thanks

Mine did that it was the pipe coming off the compressor housing going to the Amal valve. The hose clip had lost its bite and the rubber had gone hard

Thanks guys will take a look later.

Seems to get worse as the car warms up, not too bad initially I have to give it some revs and load for the noise to start, then after 15 miles or so, 2k rpm and no load is enough for the whistle...

Sorted.

A couple of nuts were loose on the exhaust manifold, now tightened up, whistle gone
