Default internal or external fuel pump on rst engine?

when putting quite a tuned rst engine into a orion would you suggest a fuel tank with an internal pump like on an xr3i? or an external pump like on an rst?

its an efi engine btw.

the car was a carb model so dosnt have an injection fuel tank.
any sugestions?

The most sensible option is to run a late orion efi tank, which I know you can still buy new from panel shops for around £65 as this will have a swirl pot and an internal fuel pump suited to EFI and for a pump upgrade run a std escort cosworth pump, if you are going to go crazy with the mods.

Good luck

no, not the ONLY way, because ESCORT cossies run internal fuel pumps

anyway there are hundreds of suitable pumps out there

yeah but cvh engines require MORE fuel for the same bhp as a cossie MEANING that he would ne a UPRATED internal cossie pump,,,,,,, which is pointless imo as he can use a external and have less hassle

the internal uprated pumps cost the same money as the uprated external ones

i just bought a perfect fitting "grpA" pump for my car (internal sierra) for 150notes

that was from fuelparts uk

the reason for the post btw ginge was coz he wants to buy a tank asap as hes got a bit of money at the moment.

hes found some on ebay but the guy wanted to know what sort he wanted.

so do u rekon any injection tank will do as he will be running an external pump anyway?

or do u think the efi injection orion tank with internal pump would be a better idea?
