Default big big big enormus ENGINE Problem !!!!

hello all,

I had a big problem with my car yesterday on the highway, I hear a big nose, thought it was a rock, and arrived home, it smelt oil, and a big stain was on the floor...

What can it be ?
My fiesta had just been revised by Ford on Friday 24th Feb... :
- oil changed + filters
- accessories and transmission belt changed

The oil seems to come from the oil sump !

Theres nothing on that side of the block apart from the exhaust manifold. Did ford spill oil over the rocker cover and its just run underneath the rocker cover, cover? That would account for the burning smell.

How can I know if it's the sump gasket now ?
I have to putt oil, and drive till the motor is hot, and if it smell oil, it's the sump gasket, isn't it ?

the colour of that oil does not look like engine oil - i'm guessing that its gearbox oil - have a smell, gearbox oil has its own unique smell
