MOT queries on my ERST
just had my motor back from its MOT and its failed on a few stupid things (side repeater not working and a bad earth on the rear light)
but the main thing was the steering, apparently theres too much play between the turns, is this likely to be my rack needing replacing?
Also my fuel tank is leaking, I was wondering where it was all going

You'll probably find one of the UJ's is knackered rather than the rack itself. Though they should of been more accurate IMO with what the actual item that failed was.

well I've got the car home and decided to do some investigating adn it turns out the dodgy steering was down to the steering wheel nut loosening itself
I've been down the local hardware place and got myself a new nyloc nut and all is good, I think I'm lucky to get away with the wheel not coming off in my hands
