Default Sheila can poke her poxy wheels

Just got a mail through from Sheila's Wheels asking me to try a quote with them. Apparently they had all my and my cars details and could beat my quote. So I fill in their forms and type in my reg .. and then am instantly told they cannot help me.

Then why send the friggin mail?! A case of mail merges gone wild I expect. What a waste of time.

Had it twice now.

Esure wrote to me promising they could beat my quote so I called them and when I said Escort RS Turbo they said they couldn't quote at all and that was before I went into the small power hike and roll cage

Abbey done it to the missus on her 2i and the gimp at the other end of the phone had a go at her and told her she would never insure it and shouldn't have brought it. She told the guy he was a prick and had been driving it 2 years before hanging up

Don't get me started on those coonts at Admiral/Elephant/Diamond

Its cheaper for em to actually just spam out the details without checking the person they are sending them to with the possiability of getting new business than actually finding out if anyone is sutable or not

Exactly the same with credit cards who send you applications inviting you to apply, where as the envelope gives you the impression that you actually have been approved for a card

My sisters just passed her test, she's 22 soon and they wouldn't insure her on a 957cc MK1 fiesta, perhaps it's too powerful for a new driver

A friend of mines wife is insured by these.
Yea the price was good for her but they will not allow her to protect her no-claims bonus.

I would rather pay the extra if i was her and go elsewhere.

Its probably because they are so fussy about who they insure that they keep the costs down....

but at the end of the day we know this sterotypical bollock aint usually true... but its a sterotype for a reason...

complain

tell them that, on the basis that they sent you information without your permission (information that you didn't give them in the first place, so where did they get it from? and if they have got that information what else could they get without you knowing?)stating that they would insure you for less than youwere currently paying
after deliberating for several days you decided to take themup no the offer
but, alas, when you asked for the quote, they said they were not going to insure you at all
why then, would they go through all the hassle of sending you the information (again, from where they got it you wern't to know) when the information they have got (on the sly) would have already told them that they wouldn't be able to insure your vehicle

then say somethng along the lines of "i expect a full explanation withint 7 working days or i'll be "

and yes, them ads do my nut
