i have my laptop and pc networked at the moment by nework cable, the pc is the one thats connected to the adsl modem - the laptop currently accesses internet through the pc, anyway i have got wireless usb for pc and card for lap top have installed both and when both plugged in they know each other is on line but the laptop wont connect to internet as if theres no connection- but if you unplug card from laptop then pc flashes up wireless network disconnected so it knows its there!

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

do u have a domian set up?
have u set dhcp up? or allocated the machine an ip addy?

 

sorry you've lost me already, all i've done is installed the wireless cards with cd included. how do i do what you say to do?

You need to enable Internet Connection Sharing on the USB wifi interface.

 

just had a look butcant see that option anywhere-any ideas? i've got a great big lumbering dalmation who keeps catching lead when he walks past so i want to use the wireless asap!

is the wireless card giving the laptop an ip address? start/run/cmd "ipconfig"
