Default ERST Downpipe for cossie exhaust housing.

I've been told to increase performance greatly it is advisable to remove the elbow of the turbo. However, where can I get my downpipe modified to fit the exhaust housing? And how much would it cost?

Unless someone has one that they wana sell

Cheers
Bobby

Hello mate,

I made mine myself. Cost about £70 buying stainless steel exhaust sections from burton power and Mongoose exhausts will sell the triangler flange.
But i'm a dab hand at welding and own my own TIG plant.

There are a number of exhaust manufacturers about that should be able to help. Try these guys http://www.simpsonraceexhausts.com/
You will probably need to get the car there though.

Matt.

I have thought about making it myself, however I know I'll get stuck on rolling out the flange

I had mine made up, i bought a piece of 3" stainless tubing from a metalyard for about a fiver and used the flange from a standard cossie downpipe. Cost about £18 in total to do!!!

This is mine in manufacture.

First off weld a double thickness piece of pipe to be rolled out

Make up the bend section

Tack all the parts togeather including a reducer from 3" to 2.5"

When it fits perfectly weld it all up and fit it

How big is the standard cossie downpipe? 2.5 inch?
