What was this very old pc game called?
I remember years ago(at least 12years, when i was at primary school we had these Acorn computers in the class rooms and i remember this very basic looking game, it was like a white square-ish shape as a space ship and basically you had to hover around and theres these little square come out the bottom of the ship when you apply thrust(to move upwards).
I cant for the life of me remember what the aim of the game was but that was basically it, very very simpe but i used to love playing it back then!
Be great if someone could tell me what the game was called and what you had to do. Or even better links to a website with it on

You can say that agian 
When i said basic i mean VERY basic, this was an acorn computer dont forget!
The screen was just black and the Square spaceship was white.

Nope, like i said the screen was totally black, the ship was solid white colour.
Think i remember you had a fuel gauage of some kind and if you ran out you would plumit to the ground and smash the ship into smithereen's!

yeah i think so, and as said in my first post, there was lots of little white squares come out from the bottom of the ship to tell you that your accelerating(i guess).

Just found it on the net, so heres a pic for all the poeple who thought "god what games he on about"! 
cant remember it being colour like this one but i dont know it might have been, 12 years ago i was only little!

yeah and looks like its one that some guy made in 2004 but its just like the old acorn one

Yeah it is mate because when it loads up it says "z virus".
The one i used to play was the old black and white one that you were on about.

I also remember "Jupiter Lander" on the Vic20. Was a cartridge that you plugged into the back

Dad used to bring the sole PC from school home during the holidays back in the early 90's to save it being stolen during the usual holiday break ins.
Spent many many days playing that.
Also E-Type on the old BBC computers at Junior School

Its on the ATARI ST.
Its v.similar to JET STRIKE (anyone remember that? or have a version i can play on the PC?) but seems to have better graphics.
If you got shot down (i dont remember what planes you got to use) you could bail out and control the little man on the ground too.
Im honestly not sure what you had to do in the game, but like Jetstrike its more a side scrolling simulation than a shoot-em-up.
Actually, on that note, anyone know any other side scrolling Aeroplane games that arnt shoot-em-ups? Ie more like Jet Strike, Harrier Attack, or whatever the fuck this game im on about is
