Default jacking a low car

any ideas on hassle free jacking ? my car is only 90cm from the ground, its only used as a show car but i need an easy way to get it off ground for cleaning and the dreaded puncture. a small trolley jack will only fit if i take the front wheels off and doesnt reach under far enough to go on suspension. the normal ford jack wont work as the side skirts are custom made with no removable panel.

tow bar at the back but you need 2 small trolly jacks for it

mines very low saff ..jack it under the towbar first ..

then throw other one under side needed

also keep a cube of hard wood if needed for the extra lift

Default jacking car

nice idea but i cant put a tow bar on as i have a big custom back bumper .the wood bit may work though although im having trouble finding a jack which gives me enough clearance on the skirts to get it to the suspension .

Sure that most jacks will reach under 90cm

If its mm then something like this will do

I can sell you one of these for £90

This jack needs just 89mm clearance to get the front 42cm of the jack right under you car. The two jacks I measured for comparison (one 3 ton pro and one 2 ton amateur) needed at least 135mm clearance in order to get under a car.

This jack extends to its full height of 543mm in less than 8 pumps – compared to over 20 for the other Jack in the picture!

Can bring to Bedford if you're there?

I use some little blocks of wood that I drive up onto and then can get the jack underneath!

As said above, try and drive up onto an inch thick block of wood at each side. You'll have about 115mm clearance then.

That's what I do now - got 2 bits of 4x2 that I drive the front up onto and then get a trolley jack under then. If I put my car on little drive on ramps I put the wood on one of the rungs and drive up that way as it's a longer run, alot less steep incline and I don't catch my front spoiler.

yup onto a couple of blocks of wood or put steering on full lock on mine and that allows jack to be slid in behind or in front of wheel

Alloy ones are obviouly far lighter, but usually only rated to 1 ton and they cost a lot more.
The ones in this thread are 40kg ( ) and are rated to 3 tons...
