Escort Cosworth Actuators ?????
Do the Escorts use the same actuators as a sierra i.e -31 and -34 ??
Reason i am asking is, i was looking at mine on the escort yesterday, and
its a small actutor with a short rod and a long sleeve .. Which just does not
look right !!.... and i cannot adjust the boost lower
I was wandering if it was from a small turbo escort ??
Any ideas anyone ??

Only thing is,the boost is running high but there does not seem to be much pre-load on the actuator
Do you have to adjust the boost in a different way on the car ??? and can the CO2 be adjusted ??

So if the car is over boosting, you need to get into the chip and adjust it ?..
Can this be done on Ahmed Bayjoo chip ???
I have a digital SPA gauge in the car at the mo...

Its Standard T34/Greens, I am not 100% sure of the boost, but if you nail it flat, its cuts out, which i believe is the boost cut..
If you feather the throttle and build it up its ok sometimes..
So it must be just over the limit.

That is correct for the escorts.
The boost is adjusted within the chip. Do NOT go off the factory boost gauge for boost readings.

Hi,
The P8s integral boost term capability is far more advanced than the older systems and all the boost you could ever need is available within the map on a simple -31 with minimal preload, thus removing the need to mess about with the actuator. Boost doesnt go up on its own though, so if it was once ok, you ned to find what failed, not go adjusting the turbochargers pressures...
Cant comment on your AB chip, probably best to call Ahmed and ask his advice.
My comment about the gauge was because 75% of em are miles out at 1.3bar.

Worth checking the small bore pipes on the turbo/Lektron valve haven't popped off anywhere.
Does the 'cut' happen at any particular Rev's, or just whenever?

It mainly happens, if nail it hard at low speed, or when you are high up the rev range, but it feels like its trying to pull, but somethign is holding it back..
Also where is the ECU ??, I want to get it out and see whats on the chip..
