Default S2 ERST 2.0ZVH WHAT TURBO????

Ive got a s2erst that i might have to have the turbo rebuilt etc....if i was to get a new turbo what would u recommend???...some pointers on what i want/need
1. dont want loads of power more after a nice power delivery and NOT loads of lag
2. dont want to be destroying gearboxes
want to run 16psi ideally
the engine is a 2.0 zvh, low compression mahle pistons, kent cam/ vernier pulley, 5th inj plumbed in just needs turning on, gas flowed head, front mount i/c,mongoose 3" exhaust,..uprated clutch/gearbox(not sure whats been done to it though!)
will a standrd turbo be ok or would u recommend a hybrid(rebuilding mine if its a hybrid)??
mant thanks...p.p

T3 hybrid...

a nicely specced stage 2 or 3 will do the job. Good up to around 280hp+

Yeah 250hp will destroy the gearbox if its standard, if its uprated like you say, depending on whats been, then should be ok. Just to clarify i'm not saying fitting a T3 hybrid will get you to 250hp automatically just that its capable of running that power ....

T28 not a bad idea if you want quick, smooth spooling. Not so much punch top end...

T34 won't be as good on his car low down as a T3...

he said he wants NO lag, and not high boost. A T34 at 16psi with his spec will be alot more laggy than a hybrid T3...

Agreed,

A T34 doesn't give any more noticable lag than a T3 imo. But mine does come in more progressivly than the old T3, especially on a larger displacment engine like the ZVH.

best thing I ever did was get a T34 with 0.55ex housing. Get a cam matched for the turbo though too. I only ran 20psi and made 288bhp.
