i thought chatter was an undesirable effect? back pressure hitting the blades of the turbo causing it to stop or slow down very suddenly?? the idea of fitting a dump valve was to eliminate that chatter and prolong the life of the turbo?

The effects on an RST are minimal. It'ds only going to prolong the life of your turbo if you buy into the marketing bullshit. If you are running 30psi or more boost then these effects could be damaging but under this level you don't need one.

I knew it wouldn't be long before someone said something! Yes, ok ok if you run a decent amount of boost, it may do it, but it won't be like a frst as the metering head muffles the sound out. My standard MFI S2 does it a little bit...think it's got an air leak somewhere though!

My S2 does a bit but nothing like the Fiesta. Only reason I have chatter is I can't stand DV's
