Andy - Concerning spolier,
If you remember at first epsiode of series 3 the island looks massive when it pans out from when the plane first crashed. Looks like they might be right in the corner of the original island. And Ben is the leader of that company that was chatting to juliet about in episode eight....

Yeah, I remember it, but I thought that their houses were on 'Alcatraz island' . This episode annoyed me in alot of ways though, Jack could have asked Alex and the little girl so many questions but didn't! Also, why didn't Sawyer and Kate just row round the island, I didn't understand why they didn't! It's interesting though, all the Lost forums are saying what a crap episode but I thought it was quite good overall - bit slow but then they have to mix it up a bit as last week's was fast paced. Next week's episode should be good as it's about Hurley

Spoiler..
This is what I don't understand and what irritates me a little. Why has no-one asked the most obvious questions about the project/dharma etc etc..... cos I'm only watching and I want the answers!
They live on the one island, but work and research on the other. Where is it going?

For those of you without TV output on your PCs graphics cards, I can recommend getting a DivX playing DVD player. They're just like a normal DVD player (connect to your TV through SCART etc.) but they are able to play DivX files (and usually others as well like normal mpegs etc.).
I got a Mico one nearly 2 years ago which was only about Ł30 in Sainsbury's and it had 5.1 outputs, RGB, Optical etc. etc.
However, I got an e-mail from ebuyer and it mentions they've got a DivX playing DVD player in now for Ł22.99. Not bad but it's only got 2 channel stereo output - ideal for the bedroom or whatever though
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/124907
The great thing is it allows you to watch your episodes of Lost without having to have the PC on - I burn mine to DVD (12 350Mb episodes to a DVD-R single layer disc - that's half a series) and watch them on mine!
Just a suggestion for those of you out there who can't be arsed upgrading your computer!

Glad you got it ok Matt!
As for the next episodes, they've had the long hiatus in the middle of the season so that they can air all the episodes at the rate of one a week until the end of the season (i.e. no big gaps between episodes).
It'll be on in the US/Canada tomorrow night so will be available for download not long after that
I get most of my info. about when shows are on from here...

They are shown on ABC Wednesday night then the same ones 4 days afterwards on Sky one!
Used to be a big gap when they were shown on Channel 4 + E4 but Sky one paid lots of money to try and get viewers, and i heard it worked! plus they show it in high definistion

Normally if you wait a day you can get 720p versions of these files as well - still before Sky (just!).
BTTT though - Episode 10 is already available on the sites I use
Matt - no worries - let me know and I'll get them sent over when I've got them

Rich - they're always poor on download speeds because of 2/3 reasons:
1) You're using a public tracker. Public trackers don't require anyone to worry about a share ratio whereas a private tracker will require users to try and keep their 'share ratio' as close to 1:1 or above 1:1 as possible, meaning that once someone has finished downloading a torrent, they'll keep uploading it until the ratio for that particular torrent hits 1:1 or usually even higher. Also the users on public trackers often limit their upload bandwidth as they don't have to share what they have to still be able to download the next time from that tracker. As well as this - the sheer number of people using the public trackers will mean that the bandwidth available to the leechers will be shared amongst each other - so the more thousands of leechers there are on a public tracker, the slower everything will go typically (not to mention the fact that the tracker has to keep on top of all this).
2) You're hitting a torrent near to when it's first been created. A torrent will show it's fastest speeds typically around half way through it's lifetime (this is usually when the amount of seeders and leechers is at a ratio of 1:1 - not to be confused with share ratio I'm talking about if there 1500 seeders there'll be 1500 leechers). If you hit a torrent earlier on, when there is say only one seeder, that seeder will be maxing out their upload, then whatever they've sent out will be sent between all the leechers until they all have it and then the process continues, whereas at the half life you will have a huge availability of all of the parts of the file meaning that the speeds will be much higher (you can often complete a torrent without connecting to a seeder as the group of leechers will have all the parts between them and just get them from each other).
HTH to explain it a bit better - sorry if it sounds like gibberish.
Cheers,
Andy

Personally - find yourself a nice private tracker site.
I can PM you a few that I use if you like
Although - if you just want to use public trackers then yeah, the more seeders there are the better. When a torrent like the Lost ones get old they tend to stick with a few hundred seeders and maybe a similar number of leechers (possibly more leechers still though due to it's popularity). This is a good time to get it but it obviously means waiting.
If you use a private tracker then you can normally download the next day (like you currently do) and get really good speeds The downside of course is that you need to maintain a good 'share ratio' but that shouldn't be hard if you leave your computer on for a few hours and you pick the torrent up within a day of it being posted.
Cheers,
Andy

Downloading.......... but they best start picking the story up again fast.
There are still unanswered questions from the first series, and it's just starting to try my patience.......... especially when Heroes is SOOOOO good!

Yeah, I hope the next series of Lost is either the last or penultimate series as otherwise it will turn out like the last series of X-Files - seriously shit!
Ryan - I know, that's what I meant to put in my post before that it's episode 12 available now
I've not watched it yet - gonna wait until my bro gets back.

Spoiler..............
In this epsiode you find out that Clare (the bird off the island is in fact Jacks Step Sister!!!!!!!!) His dad arrived in this episode when Clare's mum was in a car accident. Clares mum told her that her dad was dead but actually wasn't. And when Clares mums hopsital fee's are paid for by an american who wished to remain nameless, Clare asked who he was. Clares Auntie knew who Jacks dad was. Clare had no idea who he was as according her mum he died when she was 2. Then she asked and was told he was her father........Talk about a twist!!!!!!!!So this is why Jacks dad went to Australia! and why more than likey went over the top. Also in the last one/two mins of the epsiode they find where the actual village is (The first epsiode of the season starts there when The hatch exploded and made that wierd noise) and Juliet is moaning about book club in a certain house in a village. Coming together nicely!
