My Dad's after a good charger/conditioner for his 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth that can be left on for a week or two at a time between startups and over the winter period.
I like the look of the C-Tek XS range but where do you stop?... the 3600 looks a good piece of kit for the money, the 4003 is a little bit more, the 7000 a bit more on top of that and so on...
...will the 3600 be good enough or is it worth paying more for what he wants?

i have used the xs3600 on my saph for the last 4 months and had no problems, it will maintain upto a 120ah battery so is more than enough.

I have 2 Oxford Maximisers.
1 hooked up to my bike and the other to my car.
Both get left on these all winter and the bike tends to live on it during our "summer" as well.
Had them for years now and can't fault them.
You can get them on Ebay or your local Hein Gericke bike shop for around the £50 mark.

I bought a Ctek after accidentally allowing a nearly new battery to deep discharge.
It sorted it to as good as new, and didn't cost any more than a new battery. As said above, it can be left on for months at a time if the car isn't in regular use (like mine).
Money well spent.

Anyone who keeps a conditioner on their car, what do you do with the cable?
I find it a pain having the bonnet open all the time and am tempted to run a permanent wire somewhere inside the car, under the wheel-arch or whatever, but don't know where would be sensible and usable?
