I find it a pain having the bonnet open all the time and am tempted to run a permanent wire somewhere inside the car, under the wheel-arch or whatever, but don't know where would be sensible and usable?
I extended the wire on mine and it gos out the garage door and onto the car battery via clamps bonnet and garage door both shut fine the car is just front of the garage so its going right across the drive!
