well that chassis number does indicate it was built from Germany?Belgium which i believe most if not all cossies were.

heres a little info~

Manufacturer Identifier: Ford Werke A.G. (Germany)
Body type: 4 Door Saloon
Line: Ford Germany (Own Assembly)
Assembly Plant: Genk (Belgium)

came up with year 91 is that right?

the chassis number looks like what you have written. it is on a silver plate on the panel where the bonnet closes, andthe same number must be stamped into the floor pan and can be seen through a little plastic flap in the carpet between the drivers seat and the sill/door. if the 2 numbers are not the same, walk away.

give us the whole number, and someone will be able to tell you if it is genuine cossie. not that it really matters in a way, as long as the shell has all the right cossie bits like tinted windows, recaro's, leccy windows and the most important bits like t5 gearbox, cossie prop and rear axle and front suspension and brakes, fuel tank with injection pump (same as 2.0i OHC).
