Default Stage 3 - Pinking

I tried to upgrade the car to run greens. I set the CO to 3%, fuel pressure was checked about month ago and was adjusted to 3.5 Bar.

The car was going like a clock with stage one set up at 15 PSI, but on greens the car was pinking when set to anything above 18PSI. The green injectors were brand new but I had another brand new set of greens to try. Same problem.!!!! Tried another 3 Bar MAP sensor and was still pinking. The chip I was using was a Ahmed Bayjoo and just to test that I got another Ahmed Bayjoo chip that had actually been live mapped for my car. My mate had acquired it off the guy I bought my car from. This chip was slightly better and the car ran smoother but it was still pinking after 18PSI.

I would go a run and then remove all spark plugs, Pistons one to three would be wet but No 4 would be dry. Another thing i noticed, if it was idling in the garage i could see and smell that it was running very rich. Slight black smoke from the exhaust. This was about a month ago and I decided to go back to stage 1 set up and the car is running great.

I am thinking about trying stage 3 set up again, does anyone have any ideas.

Im stating what should be the obvious but are you using super unleaded????

I would just take your car to a specialist or talk to one of the tuners on here for some pointers , no offence intended but it seems to me like you have tried a DIY stage 3 conversion and it hasnt worked out.

good luck
