Default Idle control valve

I'm need some help with my idle control valve. I've just replaced it and it revs up to 2k?. Thanks Jim

It may be an air leak, Does it still rev to 2k with the wiring plug to the iscv disconnected?

No it sits at 850 900 when unplugged

I had this and I bet it's aftermarket?

The issue is the springs are not the correct type/tension.

Yep, it should be open circuit at idle (this is what activates the idle strategies) then with opening it should read like 4.7V, decreasing to 0.5V @ WOT.

You can just unplug it and see the difference (if any).

Yes I set that up. Can't get it perfect when shuts it's spot on When open it's off by .1

That won't make any difference, as there is a tolerance.

It being open circuit is important, though.

The 1 that was on the car used to make the car judder trying to pull away. This 1 there's a tiny judder but 100s of times better. To cure that would the settings at full open should be bang on or when it's closed.
