Default Race Yb Vernier pullys ?

Hi troops, racing my works type49 Mk1 Escort in CTCRC Boss.
Wiseco pistons + on deck 0.020" Engine capacity 2046cc,head chambers 48cc, WRC gasket 1.3mm,Stroks76.95,Bore 92mm."estimated" 7to1 comp ratio ??
Semans injector 500cc/55lb,L6 ECU Turbo Hybrid Turbo tec can boost 2bar,set at 1.1bar...
Cams std ,so fitted Vernier cam pullys..now here is the main plot question, been advise 109*degrees 110*degrees 112*degrees.
I set @ 110*degrees with Valve peaking to open. Not on tip float knowing what i mean.
All checked no contact,so fired up.
Idle ok"ish but reluctant to rev cleanly 5000 +
Put STD pulleys back,engine sweet!
Pre build had a Cometic .80" 5 layer and been live mapped/rollers,struggle to get 285bhp!
Hence now shrunk down .080 to .051
so whats it to-be 109/110/112 degrees, leave std pulleys on,can Vernier be adjusted on rollers ??
Any one been down this road as above, please chat.Pete 07850151768 C.B.

Your cams should be spec’d to what their maximum lift should be, and yes you’ll get best results on the rollers.

Couldn’t follow what your saying clearly but did you set the valve to maximum lift inc the dewel period?

The cam I’m going for is max at 112 degrees but may only be relevant to that cam

Ford std Yb cams,2 wheel drive,,,
The 110 degrees im saying is when they stopped on full lift, not the roll over peak onway closeing via DTI,do understand what your saying,so I probley need to roll on and as you say find the peak.
But hopefull Clint at Brans bhp when re soon as get a set of rollers booked,re mapping,we can tweek the Vernier pullys to max performance.
I have done this on a Rover V8 when rally crossing Pete Mcphale /Reco props, good result 360bhp at flywheel, cossy beater on the start!
Anyway ill go though it all tomo, might lock down the cams via leather on std pullys, and slip on Vernier pullys then lock set bolts, after re belt up.
Then ill have enginge running last std pully set.
thanks reply Verdana give me a plan for rollers call in prior.
Post results soon after...Cheers Pete
