Default Bubbling window rubbers

Looks like the strip inside the drivers window rubber has corroded causing bubbling through the rubber. There is no way I'm paying the £90 plus on eBay for a bit of replacement rubber!

Anyone either repaired it or found an alternative to being royally ripped off?

They're slightly cheaper from Ford, about £70 each, I just bought some about a month ago, rear ones are not available anymore though.

Been looking for an alternative, but haven't had any joy.

A few years ago I found some in a small local Ford garage which was moving to a new site and was lucky to get 2 for just £23 each ! If you have any old established small Ford garages around where you live give them a try. To me £90 plus is a rip off price.
Have you looked at what has caused the bubbling ? You will need to fix it before you fit your new rubbers or the same thing will unfortunately happen again.

Rubber lists are reinforced inside with a steel profile? are they not,

it is for sure how the sunroof seal is made, rusting from the inside out.

may be that is why it bubbles,
* can be a little rust under there the list is fitted to

That's right, the door is fine, it's just the steel strip inside the rubbers that corrodes.

Good suggestion. I rang them up but they don't currently do them unfortunately but are looking into doing them in the future.
