Thanks mate, mine looks a bit more (only by eye)...
Will put a dial guage on tomorrow,,,if out of tolerence looks like a rebuild...
Everything looks perfect bores etc....

if it helps on my old cossie you get hold of the crank pulley and literally pull it forwards and backwards by an alarming amount yet it was one of the quietest cossie engines ive ever heard and in nearly 4 years never let me down and is still going strong now with its new owner lol!

Thanks for that, got to admit when it was in the donor car it was VERY quiet, and it went very well......
At a bit of a loss, i have roughly measured with a vernier and flat against the block and i think its about 0.31mm...so not much out if any.
I will be more accurate when i borrow my mates dial guage
interesting, your comment, how much did you think you could move the crank by...
I thought it was super critical, but i suppose alot of other factors matter aswell..
