Default HELP needed with cossie

got the engine back in the cossie but having a few problems
no live to fuel pump but the car runs but shit put a live to the fuel pump and it cuts out ?
when it is running its over fueling other thing is ive broke the map sensor does the map sensor have any thing to do with fueling or is it just manifold pressure

If you've broke your map sensor that's why it's overfueling, it plays a big part in fuel metering to the engine.

snapped little plastic nipple bit off so tryed to do a tempary fix by drilling it and went two far in better get one on order tomoz

A broken map sensor will give all kinds of problems.

how can it run tho with no fuel pump hows it getting the fuel and any ideas why the fuel pumps not working theres no live to it

Maybe the pump primes as I'm lead to believe it does this from the relay.

Then after that needs a live (which you don't have) so therefore is running until the pressure in the lines drops and starves of fuel......?

Sounds like its badly overfueling, when you connect up the pump it's probably flooding the engine, that's why it cuts off, does it stink of fuel when it cuts out??

maybe where you have drilled into it you have damaged the internal circuit of the map sensor causing your voltage problems

the pumps not priming at all but the car will run but badly and yes theres a strong smell of petrol
will try and get a map sensor tomorow and see if i can find the problem with the pump live carnt see the live been down to the map sensor tho
i dont get how it runs with the fuel pump not working

fitted a new genuine map sensor today and its sorted it i ad a idea it would be this as its the only thing ive broke but wanted to check with you guys before i payed Ł115 for a new one
just the live to the pump to sort out now, was fine before i removed the engine

Be a good time for a rewire of the the fuel pump if not done already.

rewire been done and tryed new relays any how its sorted now left it with my m8 this afternoon duno what hes done but it works said sumet about a bad earth
