Default Saff 2wd Engine Mounts ... what to go for?

Hi fellas,

Still having trouble with my saff shaking/rattling around 3.000 rpms.
It does it in gear, when driving, in neutral and with clutch pressed down, so pretty much all the time.
It starts at approx 2.500 rpms and starts to go away at around 3.500 rpms.

I have had the gearbox mount replaced, but had no effect.

Since the problem also occurs in neutral and with clutch pressed down, then I believe this rules out diff and gearbox. I would think that the shaking / resonance can only come somewhere from the engine and now I will try to replace the engine mounts, even though these are only about 1 year old and "looks" fine.

What do people recommend ? .... OEM or Collins uprated ?

Car runs stage 3 ...

BR

Cheers mate ... might just do that, however the Collins ones costs almost the same as a new set of OEM, so does anyone have good/bad experiences with them ? ...

Word around town is, that they don't cause vibrations like many other uprated ones will do.

I wouldn't replace them unless you know they are perished. Are you sure that it's the engine mounts causing the vibration? Could be prop related.

That is correct, they dont. The shore hardness is just right on them.

Plenty in stock here too.

@ Char1ie
If it was prop related, then it shouldn't have the vibrations in neutral.
I have also tried to drive the car to until the vibrations are there, and then push down the clutch and let the car roll ... then the vibrations are gone.

@STU
Sounds really good Stu! ... guess this is my next move then. If this doesn't help, then I might have to look at flywheel and clutch ... might be some sort of in-balance there.
