cosworth RS 500 cooler and alloy rads
Im thinking of changing my rs500 cooler with standard rad to an alloy rad....
ive heard that some alloy rads run hotter then the standard radiators will be used for mainly road use but some track days . on a stage 3 2wd.
ive seen radtec do a cooler and radiator deal.
does anyone use these or advice some good makes as my radiator is a bit shoddy
so get an alloy one or the standard one reconditioned .......
advise please
thanks paul

20K+ Super Poster.
No rad will "run hotter", or cause the engine to run hotter unless it can't disipate the heat fast enough.
Any alloy rad will be more than up to the job heat wise, if the std rad is copper then that will all things, ie surface area being equal disipate more heat, but alloy is more than up to the job.
If using with a 500 cooler this will limit airflow slightly, but still won't be a problem on a stage 3 2wd.
I use airtec myself, very thick material used and very strong, I wouldn't buy one of the big name ones just on name alone.
