Default Any Idea's on this.

im wanting to know what i can put in the gap between the cd player and the ash tray on my sierra cosworth. i think there was a audio control there before as ive seen on some pics. but ive also seen some pics with a storage insert before. but i cant seem to find one or anything to fill that gap.

Usually in that gap is the amp for the original stereo but a lot of people (apart from maybe concours) bin this off and fit the storage compartment that also fits this gap, which is what I have done in my saph I got my tray from Paul of North Yorks RS Spares give him a bell he may have one in or message him as he is a member of this site.
Hope this helps..

yes mate ive tried cosworth breaker but no result. aswell as i noticed on mine that the slot is alot wider an thinner than the cd player slot. Cause i tried putting the cd player in the slot but it would not fit. Is the dash different on the other variants of sierra.

As said there is supposed to be an amp in there, lesser models just had a storage compartment there so to the scrappy and get one from these would be a good idea.

ive just taken a few measurement from the amp slot and radio slot and the measurement are very different in hight and width. Is the dash different on the seirra models or sapphire models.
cause ive tried moving the radio down and it doesnt fit. And ive tried with the gauge backing and got the same result. any ideas.

i have the late dash in my car.. not sure about the other one, im sure that metal plate would go over the hole as its only the back of the gauges that need to fit inside the space.

2 things you need to remember:

point he first, the 89 spec cars have different sized slots to the 90 spec onwards dashes

point the second, any base spec sierra will have this blanking cubby hole, they may either simply pop out if you wiggle them or you may find that there are 3 screws holding them in place

no need to pay Ł37 for something that might not even fit

so the best bet is to make my own blanking plate for the slot.
