Default This inlet

How do you think this inlet would compare to a ST inlet in volume and why didn't the 500 inlet have issues around the neck area like the 2wd??

Seems a decent price with a little finishing with an additional 25mm depth over the RS500 casting with the 4 extra holes welded up

i would just get something like an r&b swedish or a hart mate as they are tried and tested

if that was any good it would be alot more money just look at how much 500 inlets go for.

cheers mark

How easy is it going to be to get the RS500 elbow and RS 500 throttle body though? Thats what i'd be worried about.

Harvey gibbs showed me one of these when i was up at his place and their a very poor casting! The elbows are the hardest part to find, the throttle bodies have been remade.I bought just the plenum cover and took me 3 years to find the bits to complete it.

I emailed the sellers months ago asking if he did the elbows aswell, he couldnt be arsed to even reply so didnt take it any further. The RS500 elbow is alot bigger than the standard 2wd item.

I dont think he does the elbows, the plenums came out quite poor so dont think he done any elbows.I did start making an elbow as i couldnt find one for my plenum, but its a lot of work! plus you still need the throttle body and the throttle brackets and rails.

I've got one of those covers as a spare for mine.

the advert states it is unfinished and need the holes drilled but what he has not mentioned is when you try to drill it the cover to bolt it to the inlet runners it doesn't match/line up with the inlet runners holes.
