will a 2wd saph airbox fit on a 3 door?

I should think at a guesstimate I am pretty sure they are the same, so yes but am not certain.

might have to change the screen washer bottle? as the 2wd ones have an angle in the neck for the box to fit, not sure on the 3dr !

Not sure bout the washer bottle bit, but the airbox is the same apart from the RS500 one, a seriously shit design at that, I have the flow data!!.

The Mk1 did not have a washer bottle like the Mk2 does, I.E mounted underneath behind the wing, rather it has a square bottle on the opposite side of the bay mounted to the inner wing so this won't pose a problem.

just how bad are they? im only wanting to fit one because i prefer the look of them to a cone filter but if it is going to hamper the performance i dont think ill bother!
