sierra no brakes and air sound from pedal?
ive got a sound coming form my brake pedal which sounds the same as an air pump that you would use to pump your tyres up with, ive bled the brakes and got no where, brakes still arent working and still the noise, changed the servo and cylinder today and still the same but havent bled the brakes yet, but surely shouldnt need doing? any chance anyone knows what problem ive got as i havent a clue, going to bleed the brakes tomorow as ive had enough for one day but just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and how they solved it?

Servo ?, is your 3 door a rep then ?, if so explains a lot, the valve in the servo pipe has gone, and it is allowing air to pass in both directions, take pipe off engine, and block hole on engine see if it stops.

ok ive changed the valve made sure its working before hand, and still geting the air sound from pedal, the vacuum valve i used is from a mk6 escort as ford dont sell sierra ones anymore and i cant find one anywhere, and now ive also got rear lights playing up, rear main lights are constantly on from starting the car, and ive no control over them no brake lights and no fog lights :s, only thing ive touched as for wireing in the boot was the rear washer bottle sensor plug which wasnt on as its not worked since having the car so thought it might work being that i had pluged it in, so thats all i can see thats causing that? but i seriously have no clue as to why i still have an air sound from the brake pedal and rear lights playing up now not having fun thats for sure, any ideas?

ok just been out to the car, unpluged the rear washer bottle sensor, no change, and found water in the boot area, im guessing its the rear light gaskets or rubber trim that seals the tailgate, anyone know if itll be like gold dust to find these bits or if ford still sell them?
