hi can anyone let me know if i will a need a remap after skimming 0.3mm off the head as it will alter the compression ratio slightly im not sure how critical it is to the mapping? as you can guess its been skimmed a few times before lol

Depends how close to the ragged edge your map is ignition wise to begin with, typically I would expect to get away without needing a remap on that.

Get it checked over just to be sure though if in doubt.

Good to check both ignition and valve timing as skimming will retard your cam timing slightly and the ignition may need to be retarded as the compression rises if its currently set on the edge. Both of these will be very marginal but definately extend your engine life and performance if set correctly..

if it's a off the shelf chip NO.....but if it's live mapped then i'd deffo get it checked out......unless u drive like a girl then it wont matter..............(or use a different size head gasket)
