Default what diff to go for

i got a 2wd saff and going to be doing a few trackdays /santa pod and the odd burnout at pod

im going for power of about 400bhp-450bhp ,ive bought a rear beam ,had it powder coated and new poly bushes and got new coilovers to go on too

what diff do you have and think are best for the 2wd

rough prices please

I had a Quaife on my saff and it was superb, i'd have another without fail.

Bara are good too.....

IMO not all that tested yet.

I'd go with something proven although the Titan I heard is cheap.

I run similar power and occasionally use it on track - two standard diffs in two years but number 3 is holding up well.

Andy, wouldn't it be easier/cheaper just to fit an uprated one bud?? you'll just kep popping them else imo....

i have a gripper with an up rated crown wheel and pinion carnt fault it at all top diff

This is why i ask, all these folks going for 500bhp odd they seem to forget about saving pennies for a box.... ok i guess if it's not launched etc it'll last, BUT i wouldn't like to be pushing 450-500 ft'lb through one for long tbh...

Hi Pete, I too have a CTS box... and a bara or similar diff will be got one day I'm sure - still have two standard ones in my spares bin mind you.

ha ha yep it is a lottery i did my box and diff with 350! then did the crown wheel and pinion with 500 and i dont drive like a twat realy or do launchs took all the teeth off the cwp in second coming off a roundabout

I was lucky and got mine secondhand off a new track car that caught fire at Coombe... think they redo a box for around Ł700 Pete.

i broke 2 diffs in a week.....so fitted a gripper diff from bara all good but fook its noisey when turning slowly.
seems to hold together fine ive got a 6dagree beam fitted too which is very good!

i got a quaife atb on my 3dr,direct from quaife themselves also got a life-time warrantee too,it might be up 4 grabs if i go ahead with my palns peeps....

I have one of this Eaton on my car and have driven with it for two years now.
On track and road, and works just perfect.
I think it is even better than the Quaife diffs.

There's a guy over here who has made a Toyota Supra diff a bolt in affair...The diffs are very strong and cheap as chips. 4 pinion instead of 2....Anyone that wants info I'll post up it up.
