JonnyBravo 03-10-2010 09:09 AM

Staffi 03-10-2010 09:26 AM

IMO not all that tested yet.

I'd go with something proven although the Titan I heard is cheap.

AndyPen 03-10-2010 11:53 AM

I run similar power and occasionally use it on track - two standard diffs in two years but number 3 is holding up well.

Staffi 03-10-2010 12:07 PM

Andy, wouldn't it be easier/cheaper just to fit an uprated one bud?? you'll just kep popping them else imo....

ajamesc 03-10-2010 12:10 PM

Staffi 03-10-2010 04:16 PM

Good man....;-)

This is why i ask, all these folks going for 500bhp odd they seem to forget about saving pennies for a box.... ok i guess if it's not launched etc it'll last, BUT i wouldn't like to be pushing 450-500 ft'lb through one for long tbh...:|

AndyPen 03-10-2010 04:57 PM

Hi Pete, I too have a CTS box... and a bara or similar diff will be got one day I'm sure - still have two standard ones in my spares bin mind you.

The Eaton is the clutch-type differential, and the Detroit is the same thing as the Quaife (helical):

I have one of this Eaton on my car and have driven with it for two years now.
On track and road, and works just perfect.
I think it is even better than the Quaife diffs.
