I used to use HALSTEAD CARPET GLUE to stick 1/2" pile carpet to the(underside) rooves of trucks converted into horseboxes/living area for the horsey people, that never came down, but needed shit loads on it, a bit at a time and held up by a technical broomstick, on a box !!

Hot glue gun is ace, as it needs to dry real quick because it has to be stretched into position, though it needs to be redone once in a while.

A good contact adhesive will be fine m8, heat the area with a hair dryer to soften the material first and then it tends to bend round the curve easier.
