Default cossie sus on 1,8LX

will 2wd cossie springs + dampers fit a k reg 5door XL?

anyone know where i can get cheap lowering springs? i've found pi's for Ł73 on one site but onther than that only Ł99 up
also whats the best deal i could hope for, for springs + dampers?

they will fit, as long as you've got 2wd cossie stuff. the damper will go into your hub at the front, unless you also want to go to cossie hubs with 4 pots and vented discs, in which case you should get the whole cossie front end (including anti roll bar which is much thicker than a 1.8).

at the rear, springs and dampers will fit no probs. if you want the cossie arb, you might not be able to unless your trailing arms already have a mounting point for it?

it's a very cost effective mod and will improve the handling no end. i did it on a 1.6 3 door that i picked upand put 2wd cossie suspension and brakes on and dropped in a 2.0i with sport injection cam and a ported and skimmed head. was a good little motor 'til it met the armco on the nurburgring.

do you mean if i keep the 1.8 brakes it'll be a strait swap of spring+dampers?

should be, as far as i remember. i think that there are only two different damper body diameters, one for all 2wd and one for all 4x4. best measure 'em up before buying though.
