Thumbs up Sapphire advise

Hi i'm after some advise, looking at a Sapphire Cosworth on P-heads for sale and was wondering for thoughs who have one your opinions about them. The one i have seen is a 1 owner from new 63k miles and as standard as possible apart from exhaust. Price is £8995 for this condition and 1 owner do you think this is a good price? If you got 5 have a look and give me your feed back, cheers for looking and for your in-put.

Paul, that looks a lovley example m8 but I think the price is over the top, owners is not an issue in my opinion,it's down to the condition of the car.I'm sure u could get a cracking sapp 2wd for 6-7k Paul, hang on as the weather improves cars will start going up for sale again, hence u will have more choice.9k is robbery if u ask me m8.

2wd seem to be getting the edge over 4wd at the moment - at least the good ones. So many being broken I guess. I have been offerred that kind of money for mine and turned it down.

Mines 3 owners (One was Ford) and 59ish K.

Standard apart from stainless exaughst... so you may not knock him down much, especially once the season starts imho.

either way get a 2wd me man, such a grin when the arse end snaking about, for the record i give 5k for mine with 89k on it,its just turned to 90k now,and only ever put a cps on it and a few alternators

really good fun cars though, and definetly take someone with you, have a real good look around it,most of these have been in a knock, you dont want a shitter for your cash.

Hey guys, really appreciate all your coments on the car in question.Still torn as which way to go i know the price tag seems high to most, but with the way these cars are being stripped and sold for parts i think the good ones will hold there price more.

Lee i see what your are saying but i,m starting to getting ichy-feet and worried that i won't find a car ready in time for the shows, don't fancy another year wiyhout a motor.

Out of interest does any know anyone who has bought a car from D.J Sargent?? Thats where the car is..

Been to Sargeants before, 40 mins away from me, they bought my mates RS500 from him.
never heard bad reports about them, no pressure when you are there. When we went to look at 2 Escort Cossies they even got them outside for us to look around.
Very friendly people there, especially Damon.

If it is that good of course - so be sure that it is rust free and runs smoothly eh?

All that assumed - I think you'll be a happy buyer imho. The offers on mine came after seeing many other 'mint' cars... each of which had a few nasty suprises but were asking 7K prices... so i was told. They chased me after seeing mine at a show... but I'm not selling.

Yes you may get a good one cheaper, but yes you will need a bit of luck such as a few on the market at the same time.

Good luck with it all mate
